Oridzuru by Mave & N.

A collaborative project between Elly Wong, Janice Yong, Tsoi Fong Wing, and Lissa, Oridzuru was a piece centred around the theme and concept of origami.

Part of a cross-disciplinary project with performing arts students at LASALLE College of the Arts, Oridzuru was featured during a live performance at the National Gallery of Singapore for En/Un/Re/Multi Fold: Singapore Biennale 2019 March 2020.

The 180x180cm piece was modeled after and made to replicate the appearance of a sheet of origami paper after it had been folded into a crane, then unfolded again.


Mesh panels were placed sporadically, breaking up the visual uniformity of the tyvek sections while creating slight variety in weight and touch.
